Alice Rawsthorn in Stockholm

November 18, 2013

Last Friday we were at the Centre for Architecture and Design in Stockholm to listen to a seminar by the highly-regarded design critic, Alice Rawsthorn as she launched her latest book, Hello World in Sweden.
Organised by Svensk Form, the seminar saw Rawsthorn muse about the role of design in contemporary society and examine some of the questions faced by the industry. She drew forth some very interesting points about the role of social media in design, sustainability and the ever-changing role and connotations of bieng a designer through time.
If you missed you can head to our twitter feed for some of our points of note and our Svensk Form stablemate, FORM magazine has just posted its podcast, which features an in-depth chat with this former head of the Design Museum and resident design critic of the International Herald Tribune.
