Swedish Design Goes Milan – In Real Life 8–13 April 2014

This year Swedish Design Goes Milan is moving into La Posteria in the Brera district, bringing some 40 Swedish designers and companies to give a broad image of what goes on within Swedish design today. That combined with talks and presentations in an atmosphere of Swedish food, music and a special area created for business meetings or a Swedish snack.

Swedish Design Goes Milan 2014 is collaboration between VisitSweden, Business Sweden and Svensk Form. The Swedish Government is actively working to strengthen the cultural and creative industries, and to increase the Swedish export in this sector, as well as presenting an image of contemporary Sweden. VisitSweden with the target to attract visitors to Sweden, where design and lifestyle are obvious tools, together with Business Sweden focusing on increased export, and the promotion of the cultural and creative industries supported by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Svensk Form is an independent design promotion society with an international presence, and publisher of Form magazine on Nordic architecture and design. The magazine will be present, and the editors will make public interviews during daily Form Talks.

The curators, Form Us With Love, have created the theme and the selection. The design studio is based in Stockholm and is known for its unconventional methods of collaborations with product development and companies of everyday objects, furniture and lighting. During previous years Form Us With Love have already tested the successful midnight dinner concepts with success, and are now taking a larger IN REAL LIFE.
